Amie is a freelance journalist who has honed her skills at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and has also shared her insights as a radio columnist with Newstalk1010 and has written op-eds for The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine and Toronto Star

Amie is the co-creator and co-host of The Gritty Nurse, a top-charting podcast in the Medicine in Canada category on Apple Podcasts. Amie is an experienced writer and producer, transferring her skills into screenwriting, particularly within the healthcare narrative. Driven by a passion for crafting stories that humanize complex medical experiences and foster empathy, Amie is eager to incorporate her stories into the intricacies of film production and contribute to impactful projects that spark critical conversations about healthcare.

Sara Fung, MN, BScN, RN, is a healthcare leader, advocate, and speaker with a passion for transforming the nursing profession and healthcare system. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western University and her Master of Nursing from the University of Toronto.

A registered nurse since 2007, Sara specializes in maternal child health, with clinical experience in obstetrics and the NICU. She has worked in academic and community hospitals and home health as a bedside nurse, educator, advanced practice nurse, and professional practice specialist. Sara is also a resume writer, career coach, and podcaster, empowering nurses to navigate diverse career paths.

Sara co-created The Gritty Nurse podcast, an internationally recognized platform tackling critical healthcare issues with integrity and grit. As the founder of The RN Resume, she supports nurses in achieving their professional goals. Sara also serves as a Clinic Board Member of the Hong Fook Mental Health Association and is on the Research Advisory Board at the Conference Board of Canada, blending clinical expertise with strategic insight.

As the author of The Wisdom of Nurses (HarperCollins), Sara has gained national recognition in Canada and the U.S. for her thought leadership and advocacy. She has contributed op-eds to Chatelaine, The Globe and Mail, and Code White. With nearly a decade of experience in healthcare leadership and consulting, Sara inspires others to think critically, act courageously, and lead with compassion, addressing topics like mental health, workplace wellness, and psychological safety.
